Further Details Revealed About Bold Dead Sea Operation

Gaza (Quds News Network)- Al-Qassam Brigades, the military wing of Hamas resistance movement, has unveiled new details about the recent Dead Sea operation, hailing it as a bold and heroic act. Abu Ubaida, the spokesperson for Al-Qassam, expressed immense pride in the operation.
In a statement published on the official Al-Qassam website, Abu Ubaida stated, “The martyrs Hussam Abu Ghazala and Amer Qawwas, heroes of the ‘Al-Aqsa Flood’ operation, will forever serve as an inspiring model for the free tribes of Jordan and its courageous people, who have a proud history of heroic stances.”
Al-Qassam also released images taken by the martyrs, showing the site of the operation in southern Dead Sea during the surveillance phase. The photos, captured by a drone, marked a significant development in the coordination between the two Jordanian men and the brigades, as these exclusive images were shared with Al-Qassam.
On October 18, 2024, the two Jordanian men, Amer Qawas and his companion Hussam Abu Ghazala, infiltrated the occupied Palestinian territories from the Jordanian border. They engaged Israeli soldiers near the Ein Jedi area by the Dead Sea, reportedly killing and injuring several soldiers, according to the Al-Qassam Brigades.
Israeli army radio confirmed the incident, reporting that the firefight took place approximately three kilometers from the “Eilot” settlement, south of the Dead Sea.
At the time, Hamas praised the operation as a “heroic act near the Jordanian-Palestinian border” and described it as a significant development in the ongoing “Al-Aqsa Flood” battle. In a statement, Hamas called the Dead Sea operation a “natural response from the sons of the Arab and Islamic nations to the crimes of the occupation.”
Notably, this is the second operation carried out by Jordanians. The earlier operation was conducted by Maher Al-Jazi, a retired soldier, who carried out an operation at the Karama crossing on September 8, 2024, killing three Israeli soldiers.
