“Full of lies,” Hamas slams Israel’s Netanyahu speech at US Congress

Occupied Palestine (Quds News Network)- The Palestinian Islamic Resistance movement Hamas slammed Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s speech to a joint meeting of Congress on Wednesday, saying “he repeats the base propaganda and lies that he presented more than nine months ago.”

In a statement, Hamas said, “Netanyahu’s remarks on intensified efforts to return the captives [to Israel] are pure lies and misleading to the Israeli, US, and global public opinion.”

“It would have been better to arrest Netanyahu as a war criminal and hand him over to the International Criminal Court instead of giving him a chance to talk before the US Congress to polish his image.”

“Israel is leading a brutal war aimed at exterminating our Palestinian people in Gaza, in which all international laws, norms and humanitarian treaties designed to protect civilians are being violated, in a manner that has no parallel in modern history.”

“The US Congress has received a speech from the war criminal Netanyahu, in which he repeats the base propaganda and lies that he presented more than nine months ago.”
“He [Netanyahu] is the one who thwarted all efforts to end the war and reach a deal to release hostages despite ongoing efforts by mediators from brothers in Egypt and Qatar.”
