France, Germany and UK endorse calls for ceasefire in Gaza

Gaza (Quds News Network)- The leaders of the United Kingdom, Germany and France have endorsed calls for an end to the war in Gaza and the “unfettered” delivery of humanitarian aid.
In a joint statement released on Monday, the three Western nations endorsed the latest push by the mediators, the United States, Qatar and Egypt, to broker an agreement to end the 10-month war.
“The fighting must end now, and all hostages still detained by Hamas must be released. The people of Gaza need urgent and unfettered delivery and distribution of aid,” said the statement signed by French President Emmanuel Macron, German Chancellor Olaf Scholz and British Prime Minister Keir Starmer.
The statement also called on Iran and its allies to refrain from any retaliatory actions, in response to Israel’s assassination of Hamas leader Ismail Haniyeh in Tehran, that would further escalate regional tensions.
