Four refugees killed in shooting at funeral in Borj El Chmali refugee camp

Beirut (QNN)- Four refugees have been killed while others were wounded in a shooting at the funeral procession of Hamza Shaheen in Borj El Chmali refugee camp in southern Lebanon. Shaheen, a Hamas member, was killed in a blast in an oxygen depot two days ago.

Local sources told QNN that armed men opened fire at participants in the funeral procession when it walked by a Fatah military headquarter in the refugee camp.

Thousands have taken part in the funeral procession, including members of all Palestinian factions and leaders of parties and religious leaders.

Last Friday, an electrical short circuit in a store containing oxygen supplies for Covid patients caused a blast that rocked Borj El Chmali refugee camp in south Lebanon.

Hamza Shaheen was killed in the blast while others were wounded.
