Four Palestinians killed in brutal Israeli raid into Jenin
Jenin (QNN)- Four Palestinians were killed, including a 16-year-old boy, by an Israeli undercover unit during a raid in broad daylight into the northern occupied West Bank city of Jenin on Thursday.
The Palestinian Health Ministry confirmed that Omar Muhammad Awadin, 16, Youssef Saleh Barakat Shreim, 29, Nidal Amin Zaidan Khazem, 28, and Louay Khalil Al-Zughair, 37, were all fatally shot by an Israeli undercover unit on Thursday afternoon in a brutal raid into downtown Jenin.
The ministry added that at least 20 people with gunshot wounds were also hospitalized, four of them in serious condition.
Witnesses and local sources said an undercover Israeli forces unit surreptitiously sneaked into the city center of Jenin on board two civilian vehicles during the busy hours of the day, before they assassinated the four Palestinians at point blank range.
Large-scale Israeli army force raided the city in the aftermath of the deadly Israeli shooting, provoking violent confrontations with residents.
Two of the four martyrs were identified as senior members of Palestinian resistance groups: Shreim is a member of the military wing of the Hamas group and Khazem is a member of Palestinian Islamic Jihad.
Graphic footage taken from a building above the scene showed the Israeli undercover forces unit shooting one of the four Palestinians who was lying on the ground in the head from a close range.
