Former US soldier protests wars for Israel: “No more lives for lies”

Occupied Palestine (Quds News Network)- Former American soldier and Iraq war veteran Noctis Draven has sparked heated discussion with a post on his X account, where he shared a video of US soldiers attacking an Iraqi family during the war in Iraq. In his post, Draven openly criticized the role of the US government and military in wars that, he argues, were primarily fought to protect Israel rather than America.
Draven, a combat veteran and anti-war advocate, confessed that he was part of the American invasion of Iraq. He stated that the war was based on false claims of Weapons of Mass Destruction (WMDs) and exaggerated threats to the US. He wrote, “We as Americans and Coalition forces invaded a land and people under false pretense of WMDs that were never found and dangers to America that did not exist.”
Reflecting on his time in Iraq, Draven shared his disillusionment with the war, stating that the US and its allies were the aggressors. “America and Coalition forces were the bad guys, we were not the good guys,” he said. He lamented the enormous human cost of the wars in Iraq and Afghanistan, pointing out that over one million people were killed during the conflicts.
Draven also claimed that the true purpose of these wars was not to protect America, but to secure power for Israel. “We killed over one million people and secured power for Israel along with losing over seven thousand American lives and leaving countless Americans permanently disabled,” he wrote.
Draven expressed his fear that the US government is once again sending soldiers into conflict in the Middle East under the guise of defending America. However, he insists that the real motivation behind these actions is to benefit Israel. “They seek to send Americans into war for Israel and regional power, but the soldiers will be told it is to defend America,” he said.
He challenged anyone who supports these wars, calling them “un-American” for sacrificing American lives for the sake of foreign interests. “I spit on you, for supporting this, I spit in your face. I say YOU are un-American for sending OUR boys to die for politicians and Israel,” Draven declared.
Draven’s post ends with a powerful call to action, urging Americans to reject the lies that have led to wars and the loss of countless lives. “No more lives for lies,” he demanded, encouraging his followers to echo the same message.
