Former Israeli Prisoner Mia Schem Says Israeli Fitness Trainer Raped Her

Occupied Palestine (Quds News Network)- Mia Schem, the former Israeli prisoner released in an exchange deal, has publicly announced that she was raped by a well-known Israeli fitness trainer in Tel Aviv. Schem is famous for accusing Hamas resistance fighters in Gaza of raping her “with their eyes.”

In an interview with Israeli channel 12, she said the attack happened weeks after her release from imprisonment. She accused the trainer of drugging and assaulting her just days before her planned wedding.

“I had hope in the tunnels of Hamas,” Shem said. “Now I’m in the dark, right here in Israel.”

The accused is a well-known Tel Aviv fitness coach in his 30s. He has trained models, celebrities, and even a former prime minister. Schem filed a police complaint in March after a friend found her disoriented and unable to recall the events of that night.

She told investigators she suspects the trainer brought another man to her apartment, claiming it was for a business meeting. She has no memory of what happened. Days later, still confused, she went to another session with the trainer — this time with a friend — before deciding to report him.

Last March, Israeli media reported the rape but did not reveal the victim’s identity. Telegram channels later named Shem, but quickly deleted the posts. Schem has now confirmed the story herself.

During a police confrontation, Schem said she felt “erased” after the incident. The trainer denied all accusations, claiming he had only tried to help her. He cried during questioning and swore he never touched her. However, a polygraph test found he was lying about several key questions related to sexual contact.

This stands in stark contrast to earlier claims she made about her time in Gaza. She previously accused Palestinian resistance fighters of “raping her with their eyes,” while admitting no physical harm had occurred. Many believe that her statement was a desperate attempt to reinforce the Zionist narrative that portrays Palestinians and resistance fighters as evil and barbaric, incapable of treating Israeli prisoners humanely—claims that have been repeatedly proven false.
