Former Israeli premier: Assassination of Arouri won’t cause a shake to Hamas

Tel Aviv (Quds News Network) – Former Israeli Prime Minister Ehud Barak said in a TV interview yesterday that the assassination of the deputy Hamas chief Saleh al-Arouri will not cause a shake to Hamas.
“It’s a mistake to think that this [assassination of Saleh al-Arouri] will cause a shake to Hamas and that there won’t be a replacement within 24 hours,” Barak told the Israeli Channel 13.
“Whoever hopes his replacement will be less talented than him is also wrong. Of course, he has a replacement and there is a replacement for everyone,” he continued.
Barak argued that “if we look at the overall picture and compare assassinating Hamas leaders on one side to the release of the hostages on the other side, then of course it is of the same importance, and in terms of progress, the release of the hostages is more important for Israel.”
