Former Israeli diplomat urges Western nations to take Gaza population

Tel Aviv (Quds News Network) – Dror Eydar, who previously served as Israel’s envoy to Italy, has proposed a controversial solution amid the prolonged Israeli aggression on Gaza.
Eydar suggested the displacement of Palestinians from their land and the deprivation of their property, insisting that Western governments should welcome the displaced population from the Gaza Strip.
Speaking on Israel’s Channel 14 television news, Eydar outlined his vision for the future of the conflict, emphasizing the significance of separating Palestinians from their land.
“Given that the Palestinian culture considers a man without his land to be nothing, the appropriate punishment is to take the land away from them,” he asserted.
Eydar maintained that such dispossession should be viewed as a fitting penalty for the people of Gaza. Addressing Western nations, he drew a parallel with their acceptance of Syrian refugees, stating, “I expect the Western world, as they did by welcoming a million Syrian refugees, to open their doors and welcome the people of Gaza.”
The Gaza Strip has been the focal point of a brutal Israeli military campaign over the past four months, marked by relentless bombardments and psychological warfare tactics.
Eydar’s proposal echoes similar sentiments expressed by other Israeli officials, including far-right minister Amichai Eliyahu, who advocated for methods “more painful than death” to break the morale of Gazans and force migration.
Israeli finance minister Bezalel Smotrich also said earlier that the regime should “encourage migration” of Palestinians from Gaza, which drew widespread international condemnation, including from the US.
