For 1st time ever… Israeli army breaks into Negev prison
Occupied Negev (QNN)- Israeli Kan channel said that Israeli police and Prison Service, backed by occupation forces repressed prisoners in the Negev desert jail.
According to the Israeli army radio, 30 Givati soldiers and a medical team backed IPS forces in the jail.
Palestinian prisoners have set fire to cells in several sections when the Israelis tried to move prisoners of the Islamic Jihad movement as part of the Israeli punitive measures following the Gilboa prison break.
Tension has been prevailing throughout all Israeli jails since last Monday following the Gilboa prison break. Israeli Prison Service started collective punitive measures against the prisoners like transfers, repression, torture, and confiscation of belongings.
In an urgent letter, the prisoners have warned that they will burn any section that the Israelis raid.
