Following normalizing ties, UAE approves visa exemption agreement with ‘Israel’

The United Arab Emirates has ratified the visa exemption agreement with ‘Israel’, Israel’s Foreign Ministry announced in a statement on Wednesday.
Israeli Foreign Minister Gabi Ashkenazi said, “The ratification of the agreement is a central part of the full and rapid realization of the many agreements that are being formed with the Emirates, Bahrain and Morocco.”
The agreement will go into effect in 30 days, and Israeli citizens will be able to go to the UAE without a visa, the statement said.
‘Israel’ and the UAE have signed treaties on direct flights along with deals on investment, science and technology, after they normalized ties in December, a move that was followed by Bahrain, Sudan and recently Morocco.
Palestinians condemned the normalization agreements, saying they encouraged Israel’s denial of their rights and do not serve the Palestinian cause.
