Far-right Israeli settler group to hold “Preparing to Settle Gaza” conference

Occupied Palestine (Quds News Network)- Far-right Israeli settler organization, Nachala, is set to hold a “Preparing to Settle Gaza” conference today, which will include a “Gaza Observer” tour departing from an illegal Israeli settlement. The conference comes amid Israeli intentions to depopulate and resettle the Gaza Strip.

The tour will begin from the Givat Kobi neighborhood of Sderot, less than 10km (6.2 miles) away from Beit Lahiya where an Israeli massacre killed at least 73 Palestinians last night.

It is part of a two-day event that will also include “practical preparation workshops for settlement in Gaza”, as well as 10 speakers from Prime Minister Netanyahu’s Likud party.

“Gaza is the property of our ancestors since time immemorial, we will not rest until we settle it again,” Limor Son Har Melech, a member of the Knesset from the far-right Otzma Yehudit party, which is part of Netanyahu’s coalition government, said in a post on X, promoting the conference.

Earlier this year, Nachala also held another conference, where a map showing plans for 15 illegal Israeli settlements in Gaza was displayed. The conference, dubbed “Settlement Brings Security and Victory”, called for new Jewish settlements to be built in the Palestinian territories.

Israel’s Channel 12 reported that 12 ministers from Netanyahu’s Likud party attended the conference. His far-right coalition partners, National Security Minister Itamar Ben-Gvir and Finance Minister Bezalel Smotrich, reiterated calls for Palestinians to be removed from Gaza.
