Explosions Rock Israel as Millions Rush to Shelters After Yemeni Missile Operation

Occupied Palestine (Quds News Network)- Explosions rocked Israel today as sirens blared in occupied Jerusalem, Tel Aviv, and several other occupied cities after a Yemeni missile was launched.

Yahya Saree, the spokesperson for Yemen’s armed forces, stated that they “carried out a high-level military operation targeting Lod Airport, known to the occupiers as Ben Gurion Airport, in the occupied area of Jaffa.”

“The attack used a hypersonic ballistic missile, which successfully hit its target”, he added, stressing that Israel’s interception systems failed to stop the missile.
He added that the Yemeni army also conducted another military operation targeting a vital Israeli facility in the occupied Jaffa area, using a Yafa-type drone.

The Israeli military confirmed the missile threat and launched attempts to intercept it but claimed that they intercepted it. Channel 14 reported that the U.S.-made THAAD system failed to stop the missile for the second time this week. However, Israel’s Iron Dome defense system allegedly succeeded in intercepting the missile mid-flight.

Yedioth Ahronoth reported that flights were briefly suspended at Ben Gurion Airport due to the missile threat.

According to Israel Hayom, millions of Israelis rushed to bomb shelters as the missile hit. Emergency services confirmed that one Israeli woman was injured while trying to escape.

This missile strike comes after recent agreement between Trump’s administration and Yemen’s Houthi movement. The Houthis, who have vowed to continue supporting Gaza, confirmed that the agreement does not apply to Israel. The Yemeni armed forces has targeted Israeli sites and ships since Israel resumed its airstrikes on Gaza on March 18.
