Exclusive: Hezbollah identifies source of explosions across Lebanon
Beirut (Quds News Network)- According to exclusive information obtained by Quds News Network, Hezbollah’s initial investigations have confirmed that the explosives used in the deadly attacks across Lebanon were concealed within the batteries of wireless communication devices. These devices triggered a series of explosions targeting thousands of Lebanese citizens, leading to widespread destruction in Beirut’s southern suburbs and other areas.
Lebanon’s Ministry of Health reported an initial death toll of 37 in the two attacks. Health Minister Firas Abyad confirmed that the number of fatalities has risen to 37, including two children. Hospitals saw a massive influx of victims, treating nearly 3000 wounded within just half an hour of the attacks.
Hezbollah told Quds News Network that the explosive devices, embedded in Icom walkie-talkies, bypassed both customs inspections and the party’s security systems. Despite this, swift action by Hezbollah’s security forces reduced the impact of a second wave of explosions, which contained larger amounts of explosives and could have resulted in thousands of casualties.
