European Commissioner: Humanitarian catastrophe in Gaza is “completely unacceptable”
Gaza Strip (QNN)- European Commissioner for Crisis Management, Janez Lenarčič, said on Thursday that “the humanitarian catastrophe in Gaza is completely unacceptable” as Israel’s genocide war on Gaza enters its tenth month.
Lenarčić noted that the ongoing Israeli aggression on Gaza is hampering the distribution of aid in the Strip, affirming that the EU calls for an urgent ceasefire to provide the necessary humanitarian aid.
He pointed out that humanitarian aid should not only enter Gaza, but should be distributed to everyone in need of assistance throughout the Strip.
Lenarčić also said that the first problem facing the people of Gaza regarding the aid is being insufficient.
“The second and major problem is the security situation resulting from the ongoing Israeli bombing even as aid reaches the Gaza border, and therefore cannot be distributed.”
