Israeli warplanes launched intense airstrikes on Tuesday night targeting the courtyard and surroundings of the European Gaza Hospital in Khan Younis. Euro-Med confirmed that dozens of high-impact missiles struck the area, killing more than 35 Palestinians, including entire families in their homes and on the streets.
Eyewitnesses and videos from the scene revealed horrific images. Fire engulfed the hospital’s yard as civilians fled in terror. Flames and debris filled the air, triggering widespread panic and outrage across Gaza.
Euro-Med said Israel’s deliberate targeting of the European Gaza Hospital came shortly after it bombed Nasser Hospital. The monitor called these attacks part of a strategy of “slow death,” aimed at pushing Gaza toward total collapse.
The group stressed that removing Gaza hospitals from service amounts to the dismantling of life itself. These medical centers have become the last safe havens for Gaza’s residents under siege and nonstop bombardment.
Israeli forces reportedly prevented rescue teams from reaching victims. Euro-Med stated that the military targets civil defense crews trying to retrieve bodies from roads and rubble.
The rights group said that Israel’s ongoing attacks on Gaza’s healthcare system, including hospitals, ambulances, and infrastructure, constitute war crimes and crimes against humanity.
As of May 14, 2025, the total death toll in Gaza since October 7, 2023, has reached 52,928, with 119,846 wounded. The latest escalation since March 18 alone has left 2,799 dead and 7,805 injured.
Human rights groups say these figures reflect the scale of the genocide taking place in Gaza. The destruction of homes, hospitals, and entire families shows a clear pattern of collective punishment. Israel’s attacks continue in blatant disregard for international laws and norms.
Israeli attacks come as U.S. President Donald Trump tours the Middle East. In a recent statement, he claimed that the people of Gaza “deserve a better future”—even as American bombs continue to fall.
