Erdogan: Israel carried out the explosions as a terrorist organization, not as a state.

Istanbul (Quds News Network)- Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan said Israel is carrying out terrorist attacks in Lebanon and planning to expand the war in the region. He urged Western nations to take concrete action against Israel’s aggressive behavior.

In a press conference held at Istanbul’s Atatürk Airport before departing for the 79th United Nations General Assembly in New York, Erdogan stated, “Israel once again acted like a terrorist organization rather than a state, through the detonation of communication devices in Lebanon.” His remarks followed recent attacks in Lebanon that targeted both civilians and Hezbollah members.

Erdogan condemned Israel for showing blatant disregard for civilian lives, asserting that Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and his network are resorting to all forms of provocation to push forward their extreme Zionist ideology. He called the attacks part of a broader agenda that is indifferent to human life, aimed at achieving Israel’s “malicious goals.”

Two waves of explosions from communication devices in Lebanon recently killed 39 people and injured thousands. The Turkish president stressed the urgency of international intervention to prevent the region from descending into further chaos.

“To stop our region from falling into a major catastrophe, pressure on Israel must be increased,” Erdogan said.

He urged global powers to seek long-term solutions to halt Israel’s actions, which he described as an ongoing repression. Erdogan emphasized that it is the responsibility of countries dedicated to maintaining global peace to take decisive steps to stop Israel.

“The time has come for all nations, especially the United Nations, to step up and halt Israel’s aggression. We must secure an immediate and lasting ceasefire and ensure that humanitarian aid can flow without hindrance,” he added.

Erdogan also announced that the ongoing Israeli military operations in Gaza, which have been continuing for nearly a year, will be a central focus of his speech at the UN General Assembly on Tuesday. He reiterated his call for an end to the violence and for the international community to take urgent action to ensure peace in the region.
