Elderly woman dies after being rammed by Israeli settler’s car on Hebron
Hebron (QNN)- A Palestinian elderly woman has died today after an Israeli settler rammed her with his car near As-Samu‘ town, south of Hebron city in the occupied West Bank.
The Palestinian women was identified as Shafiqa Abu Aqeel, 73 years old.
The elderly woman died after the settler rammed his car into her as he was driving his car at the western entrance of the town.
Abu Aqeel was rushed to Soroka Hospital in the southern Green Line, where medics pronounced her dead shortly afterwards.
There has been a spike in attacks by Israeli settlers against Palestinians in the occupied territories, however, investigations into them have not been carried out even though some have resulted in fatalities.
There are nearly 700,000 Israeli settlers living in 256 illegal settlements and outposts scattered across the occupied West Bank, including East Jerusalem. Israeli settlements are illegal under international law.
