Elderly Palestinian man sustained multiple injuries after being attacked by Israeli settlers
Occupied Palestine (QNN) – Extremist Israeli settlers on Saturday evening severely assaulted a Palestinian elderly man as he was gazing his cattle on his land in Khirbet al-Hafasi village, east of the city of Talkarem.
Local citizen Saeeb Jabeeti said a handful of armed settlers severely attacked 80-year-old Mahmoud Faqaha during gazing his cattle on his land near the illegal settlement of Ennab.
The citizen added that the elderly man was admitted to hospital with bruises, fractures, and an injury to his left eye.
He pointed out that it’s not the first time Israeli settlers attack Fuqaha and his family in a bid to drive them out of their land, so as they can take over it for the benefit of the settlement.
“The 80-year-old Faqaha was subjected to a barbaric attack by terrorist settlers practicing hateful acts against our people with the aim of forcing them to leave their lands and thus taking over them,” said Muayyad Shaaban, head of the Colonization and Wall Resistance Commission.
“Such attacks would not deter our people from continuing their struggle against the occupation state and its settlers,” Shaaban stressed.
He called on the Palestinian people to remain on their own lands, protect them, cultivate them and resist any Israeli attempt to take over them.
