Egyptian authorities return Israeli settler arrested among other nationals

Cairo (QNN)- The Egyptian authorities have returned an Israeli settler to the occupation state after he went missing last week in Egypt.

Aviv Slobodkin, 26, was arrested among other tourists from foreign nationalities, who were accused of having connections to rare anti-Sisi mass demonstrations in the country, according to Israeli channel 12.

The family announced that their son returned to his home safe, on Sunday, without giving details as to why he disappeared and how he returned.

Egyptian authorities arrested over 2000 in the last couple of weeks in the wake of mass demonstrations. The arrests also targeted tourists and visitors from Jordan, Sudan, and Turkey. Videos of the detainees appeared on Egyptian channels showing them with obvious bruises admitting having connections to the demonstrations.
