Dozens of worshipers injured as Israeli forces storm al-Aqsa Mosque

Occupied Palestine (QNN) – Israeli occupation forces on Friday broke into the courtyards of the al-Aqsa Mosque Compound following the Fajr morning prayers and attacked worshipers, leaving dozens of them injured.

Local sources reported that dozens of Palestinians, including children and women, were injured by Israeli soldiers that broke into the courtyards of al-Aqsa Mosque.

The sources indicated that hundreds of Israeli soldiers broke into the courtyards of al-Aqsa Mosque and attacked the worshipers, using batons, rubber-coated metal bullets, tear gas canisters, and stun grenades.

Furthermore, the sources added that the Israeli soldiers besieged hundreds of worshipers inside the Qibli prayer hall and fired towards them rubber bullets and stun grenades, in bid to force them to leave the mosque.

Meanwhile, Palestinian Red Crescent said that 42 Palestinians were injured during the Israeli attacks on worshipers at al-Aqsa Mosque.

It indicated that its crews provided the injuries with first aid care before transferring them to hospital, noting that the occupation forces impeded the work of the crews and prevented them from entering al-Aqsa Mosque.

The Israeli occupation seeks through its storming to the al-Aqsa Mosque to devout the temporal and spatial division of the mosque and to Judaize the occupied Palestinian city of Jerusalem.
