IOF incurs new losses in Gaza: 3 killed, including officer and 2 soldiers
Gaza (Quds News Network) – The Israeli occupation forces acknowledged this morning that one more IOF officer and two soldiers have been killed in the ongoing fighting with Palestinian resistance in the Gaza Strip.
In an official statement, the Israeli military announced that the three casualties were members of the Shaked battalion, a unit within the Givati Brigade deployed in the northern region of the Gaza Strip.
The statement identified the victims as Lieutenant Yaron Eliezer Chitiz (23 years old), who held the position of deputy company commander within the battalion. The other two soldiers were identified as Itay Buton (20 years old) and Ephraim Yehman (21 years old).
These casualties were reported hours after the Israeli occupation forces confirmed the deaths of two officers in earlier clashes in the Gaza Strip.
The official death toll for the Israeli military has now risen to 498 since the outbreak of the war on October 7, with 167 casualties reported since the commencement of ground offensive in Gaza.
