Dozens of civilian casualties across Gaza on day 156 of Israel’s war of genocide

Gaza (Quds News Network) – Over the past hours, scores of Palestinian civilians fell victim to Israeli airstrikes and artillery shelling across the Gaza Strip as the continuous Israeli assault on the enclave reaches its 156th consecutive day, according to local and medical reports.
In the southern city of Khan Yunis, at least 15 Palestinians were killed, and dozens were injured when Israeli forces targeted the tents of displaced families in the Al-Mawasi region, ironically designated as a ‘safe zone’ for Palestinians by the Israeli occupation army.
Simultaneously, Israeli warplanes intensified their assault by unleashing fire belts over the adjacent city of Khan Yunis.
In the city of Rafah, located in the farthest south of the Gaza Strip, one Palestinian was killed, and three others were injured when Israeli forces shelled a vehicle on Salah al-Din Road.
Medical sources in the central region of the strip reported the arrival of the bodies of more than 37 martyrs and 118 wounded individuals at the Al-Aqsa Martyrs Hospital in Deir al-Balah.

The casualties were a result of Israeli shelling on various areas in the central Gaza Strip, accompanied by artillery attacks on civilian homes.
In the Nuseirat refugee camp, local sources reported a disruption in telecommunications as Israeli airstrikes targeted several homes and the marketplace area in the camp, with the latter catching fire due to one of the strikes.
In Gaza City, in the northern half of the enclave, five civilians were killed, and dozens were injured as the Israeli military targeted civilians waiting for aid near the Kuwait roundabout in the Zaytoun neighborhood. The casualties and the injured were transported to Al Shifa Medical Complex.
In the North Gaza province, Israeli warplanes targeted the Abu Nasser family’s house in the Beit Lahia project, resulting in the killing and injuries of several civilians.
Intense Israeli carpet bombings also targeted the southern areas of Khan Younis city and other areas, towns, and villages, including Al-Matahen, Al-Zawayda, and Juhor al-Dik, in the central Gaza Strip.
According to local health authorities, the ongoing Israeli aggression on the Gaza Strip since early October 2023 has resulted in over 30,960 reported fatalities, with the majority being children and women, and an additional 72,524 documented injuries.
The toll is preliminary, as many victims are feared dead under rubble or left in the streets, with Israeli forces obstructing access for ambulance and civil defense crews.
