Delta Plus… New Covid variant in ‘Israel’ less effected by Pfizer

Occupied Palestine (QNN)- The Israeli government said that Pfizer’s Covid-19 vaccine was less effective in stopping people from getting infected with the Delta Plus variant of coronavirus.

According to Bloomberg, data from the Israeli health ministry showed the Pfizer Covid-19 vaccine protected 64 per cent of Israelis against the virus between June 6 and early July, down from the earlier 94 per cent.

This decline has been observed amid the emergence and rise in cases of Delta variant across the occupation state, the data revealed.

Pfizer Inc’s spokesperson Dervila Keane declined to comment on the Israeli government’s findings, Bloomberg added. She emphasised on research showing the vaccine’s continued protection against new coronavirus mutations – although it was slightly decreased in some cases. Keane told Bloomberg that evidence till now indicates that the Pfizer covid-19 vaccine will “continue to protect against these variants.”

‘Israel’ had stocked up vaccines, depriving Palestinians under occupation, as well as, other third-world countries of vaccination.

In February, a Bloomberg report revealed that the occupation state kept Moderna Inc. supply on hold because it had too many shots. Meanwhile, it continued to deprive native Palestinians of vaccination.

Last month, the occupation state signed an agreement with the Palestinian Authority, selling millions of expired shots instead of throwing them away.
