Death Toll Rises as Israel Kills 75 Starving Civilians at Israeli-US Aid Sites in Gaza

Gaza (Quds News Network)- Israeli airstrikes on Gaza killed at least 32 Palestinians since early Monday, according to local medical sources. The Health Ministry confirmed a sharp rise in deaths at so-called “aid distribution” sites backed by Israel and the US, now labeled by Palestinians as “Witkoff Massacres.”
The death toll from attacks at these centers has reached 75 civilians, with over 400 wounded. In the past 24 hours alone, Israeli forces killed 52 Palestinians and injured 503 others, the ministry said.
Hospitals in northern Gaza reported one of the deadliest airstrikes hit a home in Jabalia town, killing 16 people, including six children.
A separate strike on a school sheltering displaced families in Deir al-Balah also left many injured.
Gaza’s Director General of Health, Dr. Munir al-Bursh, announced that 10 of his own relatives, including children, were killed in an Israeli strike on their home. The number of victims in that same attack later rose to 16.
Meanwhile, Israel continued its assault for the second consecutive day on Palestinians gathered at Israeli-US aid centers in Rafah, in southern Gaza. These sites have turned into traps of death, humanitarian groups say.
Doctors Without Borders (MSF) condemned the killing of dozens of civilians waiting for food. MSF called the new aid system “dangerous, inhumane, and highly ineffective.”
The Government Media Office previously said 32 Palestinians were killed on Sunday at the Rafah aid center and another site linked to a US private company in Netzarim.
Since aid centers began operating on May 27, at least 49 people were killed and 305 wounded in Israeli attacks at these locations.
As of June 3, the total Palestinian death toll since October 7, 2023, has reached 54,470, with 124,693 injured, the Health Ministry confirmed.
Since March 2, Israel has enforced a policy of deliberate starvation against Gaza’s 2.4 million people by blocking aid at border crossings. International observers warn the blockade has pushed the territory into famine, causing widespread suffering and deaths.
