Death Toll in Israel’s Gaza Assault: 830 Palestinian Civilians Killed, Including 322 Children

Gaza (Quds News Network)- Israeli airstrikes targeting multiple areas across the Gaza Strip have killed over 830 Palestinian civilians, the majority of whom are women and children, as the bombardment of the enclave continues.

According to the Palestinian Health Ministry on Wednesday, as of 1:59 pm local time, 830 people have been killed and 1,787 others injured, with the death toll expected to rise as many remain trapped under the rubble.

Among the victims are 322 children, 174 women, and 58 elders,

The Ministry also reported that since the start of the Israeli assault on Gaza on October 7, 2023, more than 50,183 people have been killed and 113,828 others injured.

On March 18, Israel renewed its assault on the Gaza Strip and last week launched a new ground invasion across the enclave, marking the collapse of a ceasefire and prisoner exchange deal that had been in place since January 19, 2025. The first phase ended on March 1, 2025, but Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu refused to proceed with the second phase.

Netanyahu, wanted by the International Criminal Court, sought to free more Israeli prisoners without fulfilling Israel’s commitments, including ending the war and withdrawing from Gaza. Hamas insisted on implementing the full agreement.

On March 1, Israel closed all crossings leading to Gaza, blocking the entry of all humanitarian aid, including food, fuel, and medicine, worsening the unfolding humanitarian crisis.
