Day 314 of Israeli genocide war in Gaza, death toll surpasses 40,000

Gaza (QNN)- 40,005 Palestinians have been killed in Israel’s ongoing genocide war in the Gaza Strip since October 7, the Palestinian Ministry of Health said in the latest toll update on Thursday.

At least 40 people were killed and 107 others injured in the past 24 hours, as the Israeli occupation committed three massacres against families in the strip.

This brings the death toll since 7 October to 40,005, with more than 92,401 wounded and an estimated 10,000 missing, likely dead and buried under rubble.

Health officials reported that around 33 percent of the victims are children, 18.4 percent are women, and 8.6 percent are elders.

According to the ministry, 115 infants have been killed since the start of the war.

Israeli forces have also killed 632 Palestinians in the occupied West Bank since 7 October, including 147 children and nine women, according to the Palestinian health ministry.

According to a recent report published by the Guardian, forty-five surgeons, emergency room physicians and nurses who volunteered in several Gaza hospitals over recent months said they saw evidence of widespread violations of laws governing the use of US weapons supplied to Israel, and of international humanitarian law.

The medics, who volunteered with the World Health Organization and other relief groups, said that the real death toll is much higher than the toll presented by the Palestinian Ministry of Health.

“It is likely that the death toll from this conflict is already greater than 92,000, an astonishing 4.2% of Gaza’s population.”
