Cyber attack causes mass injuries among Hezbollah members in Lebanon

Beirut (Quds News Network)– Hundreds of Hezbollah members have suffered injuries following the explosion of wireless communication devices in southern Lebanon and the southern suburbs of Beirut, security sources told Al Jazeera.

The explosions, which also impacted areas in the Beqaa Valley, were reportedly caused by a sophisticated cyber attack. According to a security source, the wireless devices were compromised using advanced technology, leading to their detonation.

In response, the Lebanese Ministry of Health has urged hospitals to go on high alert and prepare for a surge in emergency cases. This unprecedented incident has left dozens injured, prompting authorities to boost emergency preparedness across affected regions.

The Lebanese News Agency revealed that Israeli forces had allegedly hacked into “pager” communication devices used by Hezbollah operatives, remotely triggering the explosions. The cyber breach has sparked widespread concern, as the attackers targeted multiple regions simultaneously.

Meanwhile, Israeli Defense Minister Yoav Gallant and top security officials have been holding urgent consultations throughout the day, according to Israeli public radio, further fueling speculation about Israel’s involvement in the incident.

As tensions escalate, sources from Al Araby TV confirmed the nature of the attack, stating that it resulted from cyber infiltration, where Hezbollah members received compromised signals on their wireless communication devices.
