Coinciding with Palestinian Nakba Day, dozens of Israeli settlers break into al-Aqsa

Occupied Palestine (QNN) – Scores of heavily guarded extremist Israeli settlers on Nakba Day stormed the courtyards of the al-Aqsa Mosque Compound via the Maghariba gate.

These stormings come in response to calls by so-called ‘Temple Mount’ groups to carry out a high-profile break-in at the al-Aqsa Mosque.

Director of the al-Aqsa Mosque Sheikh Omar al-Kiswani said that three groups of settlers broke into the al-Aqsa in the early morning hours and organized provocative tours in its courtyards.

Sheikh al-Kiswani pointed out that the groups of settlers received lectures on the so-call ‘Temple Mount’ and performed Talmudic rituals in its courtyards, particularly in the eastern area of the mosque.

He indicated that the Israeli occupation police broke in the early morning hours into the mosque and spread in its courtyards in preparation to provide cover for the Israeli settlers.

The director of the mosque added that the Israeli occupation police tightened restrictions against Palestinians seeking access to the mosque, and detained their IDs at the gates of the mosque.

Sheikh al-Kiswani stressed that the Zionist groups try to achieve their ambitions of imposing a new reality in al-Aqsa Mosque, holding the Israeli occupation government fully responsible for these stormings.

He confirmed that the Zionist groups’ calls for storming al-Aqsa Mosque will never change the Islamic status of the mosque, indicating that it will remain a holy place for Muslims only.

It’s noteworthy to mention that the so-called ‘Israel’s Temple Mount’ groups have called for mass breakings into the al-Aqsa Mosque Compound on the anniversary of the Palestinian Nakba Day observed on Sunday, May 15.

The al-Aqsa mosque Compound exposes on a daily basis to the storming of the Israeli settlers, at which they perform Talmudic rituals and discrete its sanctity.

‘Israel’ seeks through its storming to the al-Aqsa to devout the temporal and spatial division of the mosque and to Judaize the occupied Palestinian city of Jerusalem.
