Civil Defense reports 1760 people vaporized due to banned Israeli weapons

Gaza (Quds News Network)- The Gaza Civil Defense has revealed that approximately 1760 Palestinians have completely vaporized and disappeared, with no trace of their remains, due to the use of internationally prohibited weapons by the Israeli military. According to the Civil Defense, these weapons, used during the ongoing conflict in Gaza, cause the evaporation of bodies, leaving no physical evidence behind.

In a detailed statement, the Civil Defense highlighted the dire conditions under which they have been operating since the beginning of the war. The statement emphasized the overwhelming challenges faced by rescue teams, including severe shortages of fuel, equipment, and spare parts, which have crippled their ability to respond effectively to emergencies. The efficiency of their vehicles, already at a mere 37% before the war, has further deteriorated due to the constant targeting by Israeli forces.

Despite these obstacles, the Civil Defense reported that they have managed to conduct over 72,000 rescue missions, responding to 87,000 distress calls. However, they were unable to reach approximately 15,000 calls for help due to the ongoing blockade, direct attacks on their equipment, and Israel’s refusal to coordinate safe passage for rescue operations.

The Civil Defense’s statement also noted that 82 of their officers have been killed, and over 270 others injured, with some officers returning to duty after multiple injuries. The destruction of their facilities, including the complete loss of 11 fire trucks, 8 ambulances, and other essential vehicles, has further hampered their operations.

Furthermore, the Civil Defense reported that 10,000 individuals remain trapped under rubble, and efforts to retrieve their bodies have been blocked by Israeli military actions. The statement called on international organizations, particularly the International Committee of the Red Cross, to fulfill their responsibilities under international law by facilitating humanitarian interventions and ensuring the protection of civilians and rescue workers.
