BREAKING| UNIFIL urges ‘Israel’ and Hezbollah to cease fire

The United Nations Interim Force in Lebanon (UNIFIL) has urged ‘Israel’ and Hezbollah to cease fire following the escalation of launching rockets on Friday.
“This is a very serious situation and we urge all parties to cease fire,” UNIFIL said in a statement.
It has also called to “maintain calm so we can begin an investigation.”
Hezbollah said earlier today it fired rockets into ‘Israel’ from Southern Lebanon after Israeli warplanes targeted areas allied to the group in response to previous rocket attacks.
Siren warnings of incoming rocket fire were signalled in southern ‘Israel’ and the occupied Golan Heights, the Israeli occupation forces said.
A Lebanese security official also confirmed to the Daily Star in Lebanon that rockets had been fired from southern ‘Israel’.
Video footage showed that ten rockets were intercepted by Israel’s Iron Dome system after they were launched toward open areas near Israeli military sites.

The air force is “currently striking the launch sources in Lebanon”, it said.
