Breaking| Israeli air raids target Syria via Lebanon’s airspace

Israeli air raids targeted the capital city of Damascus in Syria early on Friday, as the country’s air defences intercepted several Israeli missiles.

The Syrian state news agency SANA reported, as it cited a Syrian military source, that the air raids came from the direction of Beirut, to the southeast.

“The Israeli enemy carried out an air aggression from the direction southeast of Beirut, targeting some points in the vicinity of the city of Damascus,” a Syrian military source said in a statement published on state television.

Syrian TV showed scenes of air defenses confronting the Israeli targets over Damascus.”Our air defenses confronted the aggressor’s missiles and shot down most of them, and the losses were limited to material,” the statement said.
