BREAKING| 20 Palestinian prisoners test positive for COVID-19 in Israel’s Negev prison
Occupied Palestine (QNN)- 20 Palestinian prisoners have tested positive for COVID-19 in the section 25 in Israel’s Negev prison, the Palestinian Prisoner Society (PPS) said on Friday.
The PPS said that 20 cases of COVID-19 were recorded among the Palestinian prisoners in the section 25 in Israel’s Negev prisons, raising serious concerns as the number is set to rise with the deliberate procrastination by the Israeli administration of prisons in providing the necessary preventive measures inside sections of prison is the reason behind the spread of the virus.
According to Palestinian estimates, there are 4600 Palestinians held in Israeli occupation jails, including 34 women, 160 minors, and 500 administrative detainees held without charge or trial.
