Brazil to open trade mission in occupied Jerusalem

Occupied Jerusalem (QNN)- Israeli officials have said that Brazil plans to open a trade mission, without diplomatic representation, in occupied Jerusalem later this month, Israeli media reported on Monday.

The trade mission would not have a diplomatic statue and its employees would not be diplomats, according to Israeli media.

Brazilian far-right President Jair Bolsonaro’s son, Eduardo Bolsonaro, is scheduled to attend the Dec. 15 ceremony.

Eduardo Bolsonaro, who is a big supporter of the occupation state, will meet with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahuand other officials, according to Modi Ephraim, who heads the Latin America Division at the Israeli Foreign Ministry, the report said.

Jair Bolsonaro’s position on ‘Israel’ comes as a part of other controversial positions. He is known for embracing the military dictatorship that ruled Brazil for 20 year and many compare him to US’s Donald Trump for his willingness to stir things up. He stirred outrage when he called for change in his country though civil war, as democracy changes nothing, as he said.
