Biden says ‘Israel’ has right to defend itself

Washington (QNN)- US President Joe Biden Wednesday said that ‘Israel’ has a right to defend itself, after a call with Israeli prime minister Benjamin Netanyahu. Biden’s statement came in conjunction with Israeli strikes that hit civilian targets in Gaza.

“My expectation and hope is that this will be closing down sooner rather than later,” Biden told reporters on Wednesday after his conversation with Netanyahu.

Biden has not forgotten to condemn the resistance missiles and convey his “unwavering support for Israel’s security and for Israel’s legitimate right to defend itself and its people, while protecting civilians,”

At least 65 civilians have been killed in Israeli strikes on Gaza, most of them are civilians, including at least 16 children and 5 women.
