Art installation in Qatar features over 15,000 children killed in Gaza in Israeli war
Doha (Quds News Network)- An art installation in Doha, Qatar, features over 15,000 teddy bears, each symbolizing a Palestinian child killed in Israel’s ongoing genocide war in Gaza, now approaching its second year.
“I am not just a number”
Titled “Echo of Lost Innocence,” the exhibit highlights the staggering scale of loss, emphasizing that individual stories are often overshadowed in the overwhelming statistics.
The teddy bears are arranged on grey concrete blocks, representing the rubble of Gaza, while red elements represent blood.
The installation seeks to remind visitors that these children had names, identities, dreams, lives and a homeland.
The installation, created by Syrian artist Basher Mohamad, is called “Echo of Lost Innocence.”
Each teddy bear is dressed in a black T-shirt featuring messages like “I am not just a number; I am a human being.”
