Armed Israeli settlers attack, try to set fire to Palestinians’ houses in Nablus
Nablus (QNN)- Armed Israeli settlers attacked and tried to set fire to Palestinians’ houses in the village of Burqa, northwest of Nablus in the occupied West Bank, on Friday.
Local sources said large numbers of armed Israeli settlers earlier today shot live fire towards Palestinian residents of the village of Burqa, attacked over 12 Palestinian houses, sabotaged their properties and tried to set fire to them.
The residents of the village tried to prevent them from setting fire to their houses.
The settlers, however, were able to set fire to a Palestinian-owned agricultural structure in the village. The residents were trying to quench that fire.

In the meanwhile, last night, extremist Israeli settlers critically injured several Palestinian residents of the village of Qaryout, south of Nablus, after attacking their houses and sabotaging their properties.
There has been a sharp spike in settler violence against Palestinians and their properties in the occupied Palestinian territories.
The violent acts include beating, throwing stones, issuing threats, torching fields, destroying trees and crops, stealing crops, using live fire, and damaging homes and cars.
There are 280 illegal settlements in the West Bank, which are home to more than 440,000 settlers.
In 2021, there were 135 recorded incidents of stones thrown at Palestinians, up from 90 in 2019, and 250 additional violent incidents, compared to 100 in 2019.
