Arab officials: Annexation to be gradually applied to contain Palestinians’ anger
Occupied Palestine (QNN)- Quoting Arab officials,’Israel Hayom’ reported that the Israeli annexation plans of the West Bank illegal settlements and parts of the Jordan Valley will be applied gradually and on a small-scale. Arab officials informed PA officials of the Israeli intentions, an official close to the PA President Mahmoud Abbas told the newspaper.
According to the newspaper, Arab officials informed Abbas about the Israeli plans at the request of Washington and the occupation state.
‘Israel Hayom’ quoted an Arab official, who said that Abbas knew that several Arab countries, including Jordan, intervened to reduce the annexation plans, which pushed Washington and the occupation state to gradually apply them within a schedule.
The Arab official said that the Israeli sovereignty will be imposed on the Jordan Valley’s settlements at the beginning.
An official at Abbas’ office said that reports of the approval of the Israeli annexation by Jordan, Saudi Arabia, Egypt, and UAE caused its leaders to be concerned about outrage among Arabs.
