Angry crowd takes part in funeral of 12-year-old child killed by Israeli snipers in Gaza

Gaza (QNN)- Angry crowd took part in the funeral of Omar Abul Nil (12 years old) today. The child was shot by an Israeli sniper during protests in eastern Gaza last week and died this morning.

Thousands of citizens from all factions headed from the house of the child in Al Tuffah neighborhood in eastern Gaza towards Al Alami mosque, carrying the body of the child.

After performing the funeral prayer, they marched towards the eastern cemetery. The crowd chanted slogans against the occupation and its crimes.

The Ministry of Health had announced that Omar died, one week after being sniped by Israeli forces during a protest on the borders between Gaza and 1948-occupied territories. The child was sniped in his neck and remained in a serious condition before he died this morning.

With the death of Omar, the death toll of Gaza’s protests increases to two.

According to the Ministry of Health, Israeli snipers have wounded 41 citizens, most of them are children, during protests that erupted on the borders of Gaza, in rejection of the ongoing siege.
