A spokesperson for the Netanyahu family confirmed the departure earlier on Sunday morning.
The spokesperson said they left the residence shortly after midnight — slightly after the agreed-upon deadline.
Moving trucks were seen at the residence earlier this week, Israeli media reported.
On Friday, Israel’s Channel 12 reported that several vehicles were seen departing the residence — apparently cars belonging to Netanyahu’s motorcade as opposition leader.
Netanyahu’s departure comes nearly a month after he was ousted from power, in line with an agreement he reached with new Prime Minister Naftali Bennett.
Meanwhile, Netanyahu and his family will move to a villa in Caesarea.
