After 107 days of hunger strike… Abu Hawwash in serious condition

Occupied Palestine (QNN)- Jawad Boulos, the attorney of Hisham Abu Hawwash, said that the Israeli court of appeal in Ofer, again, delayed deciding the case of his client, who has been on hunger strike for 107 days in protest against his administrative detention without charges or trial.

Boulos added that the Israeli Prison Service did not provide a medical report to the court, although it has been asked to provide it last week. Consequently, the court delayed its decision until obtaining a medical report on Abu Hawwash’s health.

Boulos described the behaviour of the Israeli prosecution as deliberate negligence, which would lead to catastrophic consequences.

He also noted that the court had previously delayed its decision because it was not possible to bring Abu Hawash to court due to his serious condition.

Hisham Abu Hawwash (39 years old), a father of four children, from occupied Hebron, was arrested in October 2020 under administrative detention, which was renewed twice.
