Abu Ubaida: Fighters tasked with guarding prisoners killed one Israeli prisoner, injure two others

Gaza (Quds News Network)- Hamas has reported a serious incident, where guards turned on Israeli prisoners, resulting in one death and two critical injuries. Abu Ubaida, the spokesman for Al-Qassam Brigades, held Netanyahu responsible for the incident, which was apparently driven by the massacres committed by the Israeli army in Gaza.

In a brief statement, Abu Ubaida announced that: “In two separate incidents, two fighters assigned to guard enemy prisoners opened fire on a Zionist prisoner, killing him instantly, in addition to injuring two female prisoners critically. Efforts are underway to save their lives.”

“The enemy government bears full responsibility for the massacres and the resulting reactions that affect the lives of Zionist prisoners. A committee has been formed to investigate the details, and the findings will be announced later”, he added.

This incident marks a significant departure from previous announcements by Hamas, where they reported the deaths of Israeli captives due to Israeli military actions rather than actions by resistance fighters.

The timing of the announcement and the unprecedented nature of the incident have raised concerns about escalating tensions and the potential for similar occurrences if Israel continues its killing spree in Gaza.

On February 10th, the Al-Qassam Brigades announced the death of two Israeli prisoners and the injury of eight others, some of whom were in critical condition, as a result of continuous Israeli bombardment on the Gaza Strip.

Later, Abu Ubaida confirmed that three of the eight injured Israeli prisoners had succumbed to their wounds from the airstrikes on Gaza.
