About 170 Palestinians arrested in Jericho by ‘Israel’ since start of 2023, says PPS

Jericho (QNN)- Israeli occupation forces have arrested about 170 Palestinians in Jericho, east of the occupied West Bank, since the start of 2023, including 22 children, the Palestinian Prisoner’s Society (PPS) said on Monday.
In a statement, the PPS said that Israeli occupation forces have arrested 170 Palestinians in Jericho since the start of 2023, including more than 100 people in Aqabat Jaber refugee camp, 22 children, 15 held under administrative detention and 3 shot by Israeli gunfire during the arrest.
The PPS noted that during the raids at the refugee camp in particular, the Israeli forces committed extrajudicial executions, systematic abuse of the detainees and their families, and caused heavy destruction to houses which they broke into.
The PPS also said that all of the 22 children are under the age of than 18, three of them were among the 15 administrative detainees.
