Abbas is ready for negotiations without preconditions with Netanyahu in Moscow

(QNN) – The Palestinian Foreign Minister Riyad al-Maliki said that President Mahmoud Abbas is ready to meet the Israeli PM Benjamin Netanyahu without preconditions if Moscow hosts the meeting.
PA President Abbas will accept a meeting with Netanyahu without preconditions in Moscow, according to al-Maliki, who added that any proposal for an Israeli-Palestinian settlement that does not recognize the independence of the State of Palestine will be rejected.
“Abbas may visit Moscow within 2-3 months, but the dates have not yet been discussed through diplomatic channels,” al-Maliki said.
Al-Maliki pointed out that Palestine calls on the International Criminal Court to consider the U.S. “threats” against the International Criminal Court regarding the request to investigate with Israelis.
Netanyahu previously opposed the interim Oslo Peace Accords between the Israelis and Palestine in the 1990s. Even though he, in 2009, accepted the conditions for establishing a Palestinian state, Netanyahu pledged in 2015 not to create a state for the Palestinians under his rule.
The Israeli-Palestinian negotiations have been frozen since April 2014 because of the Israeli rejection to stop the illegal settlements and to release Palestinian prisoners in the Israeli jails who have been detained for decades.
