The head of the village council, Muhammad Sabatin, told WAFA that settlers attacked Nader Mustafa Sabatin (55 years old) in his shop at the entry to the village and tried to handcuff and kidnap him.
The settlers also stole 25,000 NIS (over $7500) from the shop. Locals who happened to be in the area confronted the settlers and forced them to escape.
Video footage from the shop’s surveillance camera showed settlers wearing Israeli police uniforms and covering their faces. The settlers appear while they break into the shop and rob it after attacking and threatening the shop owner.
