Ramallah (QNN)- The Israeli military court of Ofer in the occupied West Bank remanded today the Palestinian Saeed Armi for an additional 30 days in prison, according to the Detainees and Ex-Detainees Commission.
The Commission stated that the court served an indictment against Sheikh Saeed, which included throwing stones at the Israeli occupation forces and settlers.
Last Friday, the Israeli occupation forces arrested Armi after storming his house in the village of Deir Jarir, northeast of Ramallah.
This comes after he was filmed last week confronting Israeli occupation forces during an Israeli raid into the village.
During several interviews with local and international media outlets, he said that he joined his village’s youths to defend his land and other lands of the village, where settlers have recently created a settlement outpost, confiscating nearly 18 dunums.
“I decided to join the youths.. They made a small sling for me and I was very emotional because of the deep wound inside of me after my people and I lost our land”, Sheikh Armi said. “I did not fear the occupiers nor to be shot, this was not even a concern because after losing our land we will be worthless.”
