NGOs: ‘Israel’ arrested 413 Palestinians last month

Ramallah (QNN)- Israeli forces arrested 413 Palestinians throughout occupied Palestine in November, including 49 children and seven women, said human rights watchdogs.

Several human rights organizations (The Committee of Detainees’ and former Detainees’ affairs, The Palestinian Prisoners’ Association, Addameer, Wadi Hilweh Information Center) issued on Saturday a fact sheet, stating that “Israeli authorities arrested 157 citizens in Jerusalem, 40 in Ramallah, 74 in Hebron, 31 in Jenin, 33 in Bethlehem, 30 in Nablus, 18 in Tulkarm, 18 in Qalqilya, three in Jericho, 7 in Tubs, one in Salfit, and one in Gaza.”

The arrests raised the total detainees in Israeli jails to nearly 4400, including 41 women, 170 children, and 380 administrative detainees.

The fact sheet added that the occupation state was involved in several inhumane practices against Palestinian prisoners, including collective punishment, using COVID-19 pandemic to repress prisoners, deliberate medical negligence, and systematic arrests, especially in the occupied capita, Jerusalem.
