78% of Gaza Now Marked as “Danger Zones” as Israeli Evacuation Orders Expand, Report
Gaza (Quds News Network)- A new data analysis by Sanad agency has revealed that 78% of the Gaza Strip is now classified as a “danger zone”. The sharp rise in danger zones comes after a wave of evacuation orders by the Israeli army since the genocide resumed on March 18, 2025. The analysis reviewed every evacuation warning issued by Israel between March 18 and June 29. Researchers mapped the alerts based on block numbers used in military documents. These blocks match the divisions on the Israeli army’s operational map, first issued on October 7, 2023. The findings show that around 282.8 square kilometers of Gaza, out of a total 364.8 square kilometers, are now marked in red, indicating extreme danger. That leaves almost two million displaced Palestinians squeezed into less than 25% of the already crowded territory. In recent weeks, evacuation orders reached their highest point. Israel began a full purge of civilians from northern Gaza and Rafah in the south. The Israeli military also launched a new operation called “Gideon’s Chariots.” The assault forced hundreds of thousands to flee cities and neighborhoods including Beit Hanoun, Beit Lahiya, Sheikh Zayed, Tal al-Zaatar, Jabalia, and Al-Shujaiya and Tuffah areas in eastern Gaza. The orders then expanded to cover large areas in Deir al-Balah, central Gaza, and eastern Khan Younis. The Government Media Office stated that the Israeli army is targeting “everything that moves” in the north. It said Israeli forces are killing and displacing civilians in a systematic way. Drones, it added, have focused on burning hundreds of tents housing displaced families in places like Tal al-Zaatar, Jabalia, and Beit Lahiya. The Media Office reported that 300,000 people fled from northern Gaza due to these ongoing attacks. In Gaza City, tens of thousands of displaced people have arrived with no tents or shelters. Many families are sleeping on the streets, especially on al-Jalaa and al-Saftawi roads.
