605 Palestinians killed under torture at Assad’s jails

Damascus (QNN)- New statistic by the Action Group For Palestinians of Syria revealed that it has documented 605 Palestinian refugees, who were killed under torture at Syrian jails, since the beginning of the war in Syria.
The group said that it documented the murder of 80 Palestinians during 2018 and 13 in 2017. 77 bodies were identified through leaked photos of torture victims.
The Syrian authorities sent the victims’ personal papers to their families. However, the families refuse to make the names of the victims public fearing the brutality of the Syrian regime. Witnesses by former prisoners reveal that other Palestinian refugees were killed but their names were not made public.
The group said that the victims include doctors, engineers, University students, artists, journalists, and humanitarian volunteers. The group also documented arresting 1757 Palestinian refugees in Syrian jails, including children, women, elderly men, siblings, fathers and children, and even whole families and infants.
Witnesses revealed that Palestinian refugees at Syrian jails are subject to all kinds of torture from beating and and electric shocks to rape.
