569 Palestinians arrested during last February
Ramallah (QNN)- 569 Palestinians were reportedly arrested in different areas of Occupied Palestine in February including 78 children and 13 women.
Palestinian Prisoners’ Club, Addameer Institution, and The Commission of Detainees Affairs released a joint report on Wednesday, in which they revealed that Israeli occupation soldiers arrested 229 Palestinians from occupied Jerusalem, 73 from Ramallah and Bireh, 60 from Hebron, 54 from Jenin, 44 from Bethlehem, 38 from Nablus, 15 from Tulkarem, 15 from Qalqilyah, 9 from Tubas, 5 from Salfit, 10 from Jericho, and finally 17 from Gaza.
The total number of Palestinians arrested only in last February have reached 5700, 48 of whom are women and 230 are children. In the same vein, Israeli authorities issued 87 administrative detention order, 37 of which are new, while the total number of administrative detainees has reached 500.
The report notes a series of escalation procedures by the Israeli authorities and jails administration, which aimed to complicate the conditions of Palestinian prisoners.
The Israeli procedures escalated tension inside the prisons. The situation could develop to a volatile situation, according to the report.
